2013. In October 2013, Garage48 XX — a 48-hour women’s hackathon — took place. That’s where Kei first introduced the idea of GoWorkaBit.
At this event, Kei, Ingrid, Gerli, and Ethel met for the first time. The concept of flexible work instantly resonated with all of them, and within 48 hours, the first version of GoWorkaBit was born. Kristjan, who was a mentor at the event, joined the team a few months later.
The idea began to truly take shape later that year when Kei and Kristjan returned from a client meeting at Baltika. Hearing repeated feedback from businesses about their need for “strike teams” made something clear: on one side, companies face fluctuating workloads due to seasonality and need fast staffing solutions; on the other, many people want greater control over when and how much they work.
The GoWorkaBit team is a distributed remote team that comes together whenever needed — whether that's a few office days a month or a team event on the balcony of Linnateater.
Extended team, flexible schedule
Our innovative solution, "Hub" allows companies to build extended teams of workers. A Hub consists of workers selected from the GoWorkaBit platform who are trained by the company and familiar with its processes, just like full-time employees — but who can choose their own shifts or working days.
This flexible approach helps companies balance workforce costs with order volume or customer flow — with a level of precision that hasn't been possible before.
GoWorkaBit is a remote team that lives and breathes what we offer to others. Our own work culture proves that freedom and responsibility go hand in hand.
We work fully remotely, where every team member decides for themselves where they can do their best work. That said, we still come together: about once a month we spend a day in a shared work environment, and 3–4 times a year we gather for social events to keep the team spirit strong and share inspiration.
GoWorkaBit doesn't stop. In 2025, we're expanding into Lithuania and Latvia, and in 2026 into the Polish market. Our long-term goal is to become the largest and most influential flexible workforce platform in all of Eastern Europe by 2035.
We want to create a world of work where freedom, flexibility, and innovation are the new normal.

GoWorkaBit is a tool for both companies and job seekers.
01
People-first
Everything we do is driven by improving people’s lives — whether they’re jobseekers, businesses, or part of our wider community. We value each person’s contribution and aim to create meaningful outcomes for everyone involved.
02
Freedom and responsibility
For us, these two go hand in hand. We trust people to make the right decisions for themselves and their work, while being there to support them when needed.
03
Rethinking the status quo
We don’t settle for how things have always been. We’re constantly looking for new ways to improve work life, challenge outdated systems, and create practical solutions that truly work.
