We’re striving to be 99% autonomous, which means we outsource the difficult decisions to our human operators who are able to solve various social and traffic situations. We’re seeking Operators to work in our control center located in Tallinn to oversee and guide the friendly sidewalk robots designed to deliver parcels, groceries, and food.

- Oversee the robots during their autonomous operations via computer stations

- Remotely operate/guide the robot in a safe and sensible manner in certain traffic situations

- Communicate with the robot operators and on the ground field assistants in real-time

- Control robot while establishing new mapping paths

- Log and report any issues to relevant teams

What will make you an excellent robot operator at Starship?

- Technical IT skills are not necessary to be successful, but basic computer skills are required

- Excited to do something totally new and inspirational

- Good reaction and motor skills, able to process large amounts of visual information, diligent with sharp attention to detail, and calm under pressure

- Ready for a multitasking job 

- Reliable and able to take responsibility for your workload and schedule 

- Comfortable working in an international team environment

- Able and willing to stay alert and responsive in front of a screen for several hours at a time

- Able to spot issues, resolve situations from a distance

- Have the ability to distinguish different colors (especially red and green due to our Operations tools)

- Good spoken and written communication in English

We are 24/7 operations serving our amazing global customers. Availability to work during evenings, nights and weekends is a requirement for remote operators. Please be mindful that you would need to take at least three night shifts per week.

- Flexible working hours in shifts - we run 24/7 operations and have shifts with varying lengths (6-10 hours)
